Interculturalism, performance and the body

Barbara Sellers-Young, associate professor of theatre and dance, studies theatre and dance with a special emphasis on issues of transnational performance. Sites of study are classical Japanese dance, Middle Eastern dance and international actor training. Her books include an account of teaching Nihon Buyo in the United States "Teaching Personality with Gracefulness" and "Breath, Movement, Exploration," a method of actor training.
